In February 2025, I, Ricky from Cliport Audio, had the honor of serving as a judge at the SQC Club & MSF Malaysia 2025 competition held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Here is a summary of my journey and experiences during the event.
Day One: Arrival in Kota Kinabalu (February 21, 2025)
The journey began with a flight to Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the city’s warm and friendly atmosphere. Kota Kinabalu offers many fascinating landmarks and local culinary delights, such as fresh seafood dishes that truly pamper the palate.
Day Two: The Start of the SQC Competition (February 22, 2025)
In the morning, I prepared to head to the competition venue. The event was attended by participants from all over Malaysia, each showcasing their best car audio systems. As a judge, my task was to evaluate the sound quality based on SQC’s international standards, from tonality to staging. This experience was invaluable, witnessing the creativity and technology implemented by the contestants.
Day Three: Sharing Sessions and Networking (February 23, 2025)
This day was dedicated to knowledge sharing among participants, judges, and local audiophiles. We discussed the latest trends in car audio and exchanged feedback for further development. This moment strengthened the community and opened opportunities for future collaborations.
Day Four: Return to Indonesia (February 24, 2025)
After a series of busy and memorable activities, it was time to return to Indonesia. The experience at SQC Club & MSF Malaysia 2025 left a profound impression on me, especially regarding the professionalism and enthusiasm of the Malaysian car audio community.
